Re: Star Trek: Picard

I'm just gonna ignore the predictably negative commentary from the peanut gallery and get to the important stuff... I'm super excited for the series. Between the information they've given(which is sparse but there is some) and character choices, and the casting, this looks like it could be phenomena...

Re: Avengers: Endgame - Trailer

Agreed though I'd have been more interested to see him interact with Red Skull on Vormir, myself. And see the explanation as to how he got the one stone back into Jane in Asgard. Personally, I like to think that he somehow accomplished all that and that in his timeline.... his world didn't need a C...

Re: Avengers: Endgame - Trailer

Michael -
Spoiler:
Cap at the end DID spend his life in an alternate universe. He came back to the "Prime" Universe to deliver the shield.
Russo confirmed it. They just didn't show it.

Also, a really excellent article that's an interview with the writers...

Re: Avengers: Endgame - Trailer

Most of my commentary will be in spoiler tags here... I enjoyed the movie immensely and think it was a very satisfying end to 22 movies worth of storylines. Now the spoiler stuff... Some highlights for me: Seeing Cap wielding the hammer was a fanboy moment that was AMAZING and I thoroughly enjoyed e...

Re: Avengers: Endgame - Trailer

I'll be avoiding this thread and not reading anything posted since release until after Monday afternoon when I actually get to see it.

Had too much going on to go opening night or since, but Monday is clear and I bought tickets already.

Re: Trailer - Godzilla: King of the Monsters

I've never been a bigtime Kaiju person but I definitely want to watch this. Millie Bobby Brown is an excellent actress and I'm hoping this will be pretty good and not just a monster slagfest.

Re: STAR WARS - EPISODE IX Trailer

See? After everything, I offer to HELP YOU if you show me you are worth helping. If you show me you are capable of learning from mistakes. Capable of growth. Capable of understanding why I have been vocal in my opposition of the way you present these precious opinions of yours. And you clearly respo...

Re: STAR WARS - EPISODE IX Trailer

Instead of responding by quoting EVERYTHING, I'll make a couple general replies, and then quote the important things... A draw? As Joe made abundantly clear... you're in no position to offer one. That being said, I'm perfectly fine with allowing you to go and try and learn from your own ignorance. I...

Re: STAR WARS - EPISODE IX Trailer

Sirus, the truth of the matter is this ( and Michael, I will Endeavour (heh)... to do my best to say the following within the scope of the new rules. ): Your previously expressed views that spill over into your viewpoint on all-things fandom related are problematic at best and toxic at worst. You re...

Re: STAR WARS - EPISODE IX Trailer

It often amazes me how little you "get it," Jace. I mean people say things and you reject them. It's true. I do often reject pure nonsense. Even moreso when it comes out of the mouths of the ignorant. You don't have any understanding of the complaints... Sure I do. And they are demonstrably gatekee...

Re: STAR WARS - EPISODE IX Trailer

I also wasn't a big fan of The Force Awakens but for completely different reasons. To me, The Force Awakens matching plot points to those in A New Hope got tiresome after a while, and really detracted from my enjoyment of the movie. That was, however, the point though. The idea that this was a cycl...

Re: The Orville

Joe, at no point did I say any of that and you know it. I have no real problems with The Orville. It's not MY thing because as I said... I've already seen the show in the 90s when it was actually called Star Trek. But I don't care if others like it. My son loves it. Thankfully, he also loves Discove...

And the simple answer is: Nope.
Then how do you expect to participate? I read your disdain for the series on another thread. Please... feel free to show yourself out if you want to just hate everything.
