Re: STAR WARS - EPISODE IX Trailer
I am trying hard to not be pessimistic about this. ....uh huh. The Last Jedi all but killed by excitement for Star Wars and even though there are some things I thought were cool in this teaser, it's not enough for me to care anymore. I feel like if they bring in Palpatine it will just cheape...

Discovery Season 2 Finale & Speculation - CONTAINS SPOILERS
DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T CAUGHT UP AND WATCHED THE FINALE. THIS ENTIRE THING IS SPOILERS. So you've seen the finale. Okay... well.... that was a lot to process, at the end. Control defeated. Discovery pulled into the future. Everything tied up neat in a bow story wise, canon wise, and contin...

Re: Mid 23rd Century Holographic Tech
"Flashback" (VOY): TUVOK: In the twenty third century, holographic imaging resolution was less accurate. Holograms were used in the 23rd century, but not to the extent as they were in the 24th--possibly a resurgence in interest in an old fad which stuck this time. I mean.... the question to this be...

Re: Avengers: Endgame - Trailer
Moving on to things people care about.. The trailer looks amazing, and from what they're saying, most of the footage they've shown so far is from like...the first act(45 minutes) of the movie. Including that epic fight scene that appears to take place at Avengers HQ. I am STOKED for this and excited...

Re: Joker - Trailer
I truthfully don't know what to make of this. So far, to date, Jared Leto's Joker from Suicide Squad has been the most Comic Accurate . As good as Heath Ledger's portrayal was in The Dark Knight , the character he was playing was more a weird Joker-Anarky hybrid than any kind of Joker we've seen in ...

This is kinda how I feel about Ant Man. Just... didn't land with me. Though, I think casting Paul Rudd was a stroke of genius.

Captain Marvel and the MCU
Having now seen it, I have to say that the movie itself was pretty damn good. My son and I went to a Thursday Matinee and had the theater to ourselves. Saw it in 3D. Had a really nice mix of comedy and action and some wonderful empowerment moments. Really set her up to be the badass that she truly i...

"I wish people could come up with their own ideas" He says on a forum dedicated to Photomanipulations of Celebrities in Star Trek Uniforms for Star Trek Fanfiction. There really aren't any truly original ideas anymore. Everything is a remix. Everything is fanfiction to some degree. There's n...

Re: Avengers: Endgame - Trailer
I hope Captain Marvel is great, but I'm annoyed that they're saying she's going to be more powerful than Thor. I must be a chauvinist. Well no that doesn't make you chauvinist but, in the Marvel main continuity of the comics... she IS more powerful than Thor. She's one of the most powerful s...

Re: Is anyone role playing?
Unless the price of dice has skyrocketed since I last played, that's a lot of dice! :bleek: I mean, it's a lot of dice. I tend to buy 12 piece sets(2d20, 4d6, 1d2, 1 of each other standard) and they run about $20 a piece) and some 13 piece sets with an extra large 30mm d20 for a little more. But in...
