I don't know if that's the case. Take a look at the full teaser trailer:

Seems like the Sith are hitting the rebels hard.

And I hear a rumor that...

Spoiler:
Vader will be in this, kicking much ass.

A new trailer:

I like the look of this film. I get a much stronger sense of Star Wars from this than I did The Force Awakens.

(edit to fix bbcode)

Just an observation that really has nothing to do with anything....

BUT...what is it with the Star Wars universe and its fascination with tiny little waif-like brunettes? Are there no tall blonde women or sturdy redheads in the whole place? Or non-Caucasian ones? Just sayin'....

(Yeah, I know some of the background people look different but sheesh... *L*)

Exactly how many have there been that you're decrying it as a pattern? :-s

I have hopes that this will be the best film since The Empire Strikes Back.

Granted, that wouldn't be saying much, but ...

Leia, Padme/Amidala, and Rey... Three series, three females leads...all tiny waif-like burnettes (Leia a bit less waif-like, but still..)

Ridley, who plays Rey, is 5' 7". Kinda blows your "waif" thing outta the water.

And what the hell is a "burnette"? :P

Do you think that Jyn Erso is going to be revealed as Rey's mother in Episode 8?

WAIF - noun
1. a person, especially a child, who has no home or friends.
2. something found, especially a stray animal, whose owner is not known.
3. a very thin, often small person, usually a young woman. (it does say "often" not "always")
4. a stray item or article: to gather waifs of gossip.
5. Nautical. waft (def 8 ).

And a burnette is a typo. *s*

Now, now. You know you meant "waif" as in "of small stature." Don't head to Merriam-Webster for an escape pod. :tomato:
