Here's the first trailer:
This looks pretty cool. I'm happy that Denis Villeneuve is directing. I loved his film Arrival.

looks good.
Never seen the original, another of those long list of sci fi films I have never seen
Also includes the entire star wars series.

Re: Blade Runner 2049
The original Blade Runner is an amazing film almost more for its visual style than the story. The soundtrack is amazing as well.Gazomg wrote:Never seen the original, another of those long list of sci fi films I have never seen
I would highly recommend it to you.

You have a unique opportunity. As most of the rest of us saw Star Wars in production order, IV-V-VI then I-II-III, then Force Awakens, it would be interesting if you were to watch the films in story order, I-II-III-IV-V-VI-Force Awakens to see what your impressions are of them in that order. Just a suggestion.

Re: Blade Runner 2049
I always felt since i missed the originals ( in release order) it would be too dated.
Would you believe up til last year I never saw a full episode of the original star trek, since then i have watch 11 episodes of the first season and stopped but meant to get back to it....and since rewatched Enterprise from start to finish again....
My wife thinks its insane how i could be a sci fi fan and love trek so much and not see TOS in Full or star wars.

Re: Blade Runner 2049
I can't say I'm overly hyped about this. I love Blade Runner. I've seen every version I can get my hands on. And to me the idea of a new one kind of ruins the ending of the old one. I like ambigiuos endings and I dislike it when people push some explanation as canon. But that's just my hang up.
ANyway, could be good. The trailer does not get me hyped though.
