I'm not the greatest and thus I stick mainly with just recoloring uniforms. So I didn't swap heads or any crazy talented thing. I also wanted to have the uniform more of the Pulaski blue. This is a recoloring of a Wesley Crusher with Ensign insignia. Maybe there's a universe where he became a medical officer?

And just in case anyone wanted a more TNG science/medical color, moreof the Crusher teal.

In the TOT11F continuity, medical officers wear blue and science officers wear teal, so these would work great there. Never did understand why the uniforms of med/sci characters were blue one week and teal the next. Pulaski was the only one, I think, who consistently wore blue each week in the TNG and later shows--Bev was in teal a few times,as were Jadzia, Bashir, and the Doctor. Made no sense to me, so I separated the two and this color division was adopted into the 11th Fleet when we put the group together.

Of course, I still personally think that Security/Tactical should have their own color, because it makes no sense to me why they were the same color as the mechanics and computer geeks. ):(

But I digress...

Your recolors are actually very well done. If I didn't know better, I'd say Wes' shirt was never red.

Thanks! Actually I always just considered the blue/teal thing to just be a shade/fading thing or just nobody cared to make a statement. Also, I'mwith you Engineering shouldn't wear the same as Tactical/Security. I appreciate that you approve of my recoloration.

It's entirely possible that it could have been crappy lighting in some episodes, but I think it happened far too often to be crappy lighting every time. Maybe some of the uniforms got washed a few too many times by the laundry services crews responsible for keeping the costumes clean?

That's possible Cam.

But what about the other "altered choices." Wesley was originally planned on being Leslie, a young woman.

There's also the fact that there are subtle color variations in batches of fabric, no matter how closely they try to match it. Could be that some (including the Pulaski top) came from a different batch than others.

Also, a logical thought that I had. As sometimes the reds seem to be sligthyl different as are the golds. But not as much as this teal/blue thing.

You know, that's true too. Reds were sometimes bright cherry, and other times seemed more magenta than red. And the yellows, sometimes they were nice, bright yellow, and other times the shade with a slight brown tint known as mustard.

With hundreds of costumes, fabric shades will vary for sure.
