What oft-used phrase/cliche makes you think, "Just STFU!"

Postby JM1776 » Sun May 21, 2017 10:57 am

To explain what I mean ... nine out of ten times when I hear the phrase, "I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'," or even, "I'm just sayin'," I think, Either be man/woman enough to just say it, without that half-hearted, half-assed pseudo-apology or don't open your yap in the first place.

I have others, but I'd like to hear from the gallery first.

Any phrase like this really annoy you?

And I know that some people here use the phrase. I honestly don't care.

It's still fuckin' annoying.

And, believe it or not, "It is what it is" is another phrase I think should be banned.

It says nothing.

For some, the pointless points are the best ones. :tomato:

My stepmother used to say, "That's life in the big city" all the time ... and then abruptly ceased doing so.

To this day, I think that if she'd continued doing it for even a few more weeks, I might have snapped and gone on a killing spree.

those who finish sentences with "already"
One person on a forum was spouting stop already....which makes zero sense .

double negatives, like people who claim did not do anything who say I didn't do nothing.

And my main one is the use of the word "talk" instead of "speak"
My all time worst example of this was some clownshoe I read once criticize another member on a forum for his bad grammar etc and replied "you cannot even talk proper English"
which I replied you cannot either as its Speak proper English.

You are permitted an occasional "Just sayin'", because yours is rarely if ever passive-aggressive. In other words, you don't abuse it.

At least "sorry, not sorry" is an admission of passive-aggressive bullshit, which keeps it off the list.

Don't push your luck. :tomato:

If it is not on JM's list, it is certainly on mine. ::fd::
Either a person is truly sorry, or they are trying to make me angrier, and
you wouldn't like me when I'm angry Mr.McGee. (\orn/)

"This totally ruined my childhood". When referring to important and life-changing matters such as a movie.
Life is very similar to boxing. Defeat is not declared when you fall down. It's declared when you can no longer get up.

Some people just want to watch the world burn... not because of the pretty colors but because after the fire, there comes rejuvination.
