BTW, I'm going to change the number for the Polaris and make the original a Hermes-class scout. Found a mesh on Foundation3D...

Cool! I can't wait to see it. I was actually doing some work on it earlier...

And here she is. I suspect by the time the crew comes to Intar, this one will be a museum...

I figured she'd have been one of the last ships overhauled without being upgraded to TOS movies style, but the new insignia had become standard.

The new Polaris will be revealed after the Olympics...

That's about what I imagined, though my thinking was that she existed around the time of STVI:TUC when she disappeared. This is really awesome and I'll go with it.

Oh, crap, I need to design a Polaris insignia!

Actually, no, they'd be wearing the "blue pajamas" at the time I'm thinking, since Kirk was Chief of Operations just before TMP, and Commander... um... Whatshisname did think that he could have accepted Kirk's offer instead of signing on as first officer aboard the Polaris...

=P~ =P~

She's so beautiful and pretty. And I'll wash her and clean her and call her Polaris.

I LOVE IT! With some people, you never think you'll experience love at first sight but with the Ernst Ruska, the Espero, and the Polaris, I have. Thanks, John! =D> =P~

I will need to change the texturing on those windows, though. They're a bit flat in this pic.

Objectophilia often?

I've always been fond of the Nova-class vessels. I do agree, the windows are a bit flat, but other than that, a nice representation of the class.

Hey, John, would there be the possibility of designing a speciality fighter for Captain Yineth, please? He has some fighter training and as I'm writing down some stuff for 'Letter of Credence', I was thinking, why can't Yineth have some kind of speciality fighter? Something he's tweaked around with over the years and brought him from Bajor.

I don't know from an engineering or rendering standpoint what to suggest. I'm just thinking outside the ship a little. :-k

An idea zapped me in the head, John. Let's see if it tweaks your thought patterns.

Have you or have you not considered a shuttlecraft or starship named... (hold onto your sock now!)... Curiosity?

I know it's just the name of a space probe in the 21st century but in the 24th century... she could be very famous for something by then. I don't know what but you never know what the method to a writer's maddess is, right?

Anyways, keep up the good work, Boss! \w/ \w/ \w/ \w/

Yeah, I could see that. In fact, I could see cities on Mars being named for the various probes...

Here's something that we'll be using in CITADEL, but could just become real...
