I am now running two games: Holy Land: A Tale of the Crusades, and Dawn of Darkness: The Viking Age.
I use a variant of D&D, but ... I'm much less a stickler for RAW, and far more about Rule of Cool. I despise meta-gaming with the fury of a thousand suns, almost as much as I do power-gaming and min-maxing.
The games are far more cerebral than the overwhelming majority of Dungeons & Dragons campaigns I myself have experienced. I'm too old for hack 'n' slash (not that it isn't a valid gaming style if that's what you enjoy).
Ironically enough, both games go on hiatus after Halloween, because I'm too busy during Open Enrollment to devote the time each deserves.
We'll be back the weekend of December 12th.
